News letter 11th August. 2020 For Women’s Month.

Update 11th August.
This week on M.K.P. (Man kind project) ran an event that was streamed on Facebook. The format was to have three women speakers telling their story while three men just listened. While this was a simple concept it had a great impact on the men who participated and those who followed the live stream. It is available on Mankind Project South Africa page on Facebook.  Here is the link.
Last week we begin the focus on women for women’s month. Moist poignant we should start with the “Frog Bride” story. Which in a way describes the status quo’s relationship to women, children, and the planet.
The other great story for women’s month is Jack and the Bean Stalk for women’s day and the essay on violence in our culture.
Or Just the whole Jack and the Beanstalk story the Moon Palace story and The Star Women story.

Wow, another week.
All chapters and their links here. Chapter 14 How a whole head of hair turns to  Gold, is now posted here.  That completes the first half of Iron John which is a book in its self.

Spring is around the corner here, early perhaps this year, green shoots on our Oak tree, buds on the apple tree, new growth in the rose bushes. The Weaver birds a bright yellow, their courting plumage, and the climbing rose is in flower.

We have worked through the Pin or the Maiden Tzar story, Absent fathers, stepmother, false tutors, loss of Soul, three witches, Firebirds, swans and eggs. Notes on these items on the website under the story section. We shall move deeper into the story of the Frog Bride this week.
In this time of COVID what practical use are storytellers? Stories can restore us to our center, They allow us to step outside of time and connect with the eternal, allows us a different perspective. They don’t change the outer world but they can change our reaction (re-act) to them. Enjoy and be safe. Love and Hugs Sam.
