Sam Sleeman

Sam Sleeman was a gifted performer, facilitator, and elder. He led people into the world of myth—not as escape from life, but as a way to step aside and inside for a moment, to find nourishment in the symbolic, and to return with new insight. With rhythm, story, and presence, Sam offered lyrical spaces where the ordinary became sacred. His performances invited us into imagination, into the shared language of archetype and longing, and brought us back changed. For many, his work opened both inner and outer doors—doors to grief, to healing, to truth, and to meaning.

Sam held space with gentleness and depth. Known by some as Ears, he listened with full presence, often saying little, yet hearing much. He lived the stories he carried. He gave form to parts of ourselves that had no words until we saw them in the myths he shared. His guidance remains in the lives he touched and in the stories that continue to unfold through us.
